Any body have any suggestions on a decent spotting scope that is 45x-60xish for less than $125
What are you going to use it for hunting,target shooting or the girl next door
target shooting;...That simmons sounds perfect...can you tell me what is the difference between one like that and an expensive one.

I've been using said Simmons from Walmart for about a year now with no issues - you can see 30 cal holes at 200 yards at 22cal at 100 with ease.
I have the Simmons from Wal-mart as well. Works great the only thing I dislike about it is the eyepiece angles up instead of comming straight out. makes it real diffcult to use it from a sitting position. Other than that was using all the way out to 260 yards while sighting in a rifle at the Tinker Gun club "Eat 'n' Shoot" a couple weeks ago. Worked real good when my buddy used a tracer or two. Real weird watching a .308 out right curve as it reaches the end of it's flight, and he learned real quick when adjusting a scope make SMALL adjustments.

I've used this one. It is a heck of a bargain for 59 dollars.
