I'm not that much into disrespecting the Commander in Chief, regardless of how bad he is, but I guess it just got pounded into my head for a few years.

.

Ok,I was alive during the Kennedy year,he was a polished version of the typical Kennedy dirt bag.He did nothing any other president wouldn't have done ,i.e. the Cuban Missle Crisis, and would have most likely started the death of our Republic even sooner had he remained in office. You have to respect the office not necessarily the man.I do not, however condone his cowardly asassination.

I don't even see how the joke is disrespectful of Kennedy. We're really just talking here about how super terrific awesome Chuck Freakin Norris is!

Alright, I don't really want to try an argue a moderator, as it seems to me to be a fast track to the exit, but when a man is assassinated in the office, even if it's because of how he performed, does that make it a better reason for his death to be joked about? Does that make it ANY reason for his death to be joked about, especially in a gruesome public way, with his wife next to him, in the middle of the street?

Almost everybody has someone they hate to the point that they say "I wish he/she were dead". I'm not going to lie, I say it of one person infrequently. If they get killed though, in an other than natural way, I'm not going to rush out and make a joke about it, and the most likely thing I will say, be it the day after or 40, 60, or 80 years away, is that it couldn't have happened to a nicer guy.

So all the Gary Coleman jokes are tasteless too? Or is it only bad when it's about a President...

Yes. Michael Jackson jokes, Anna Nicole Smith jokes, any jokes about a person that has passed are crude, tasteless, and improper, to me, which is saying something since submariners make jokes about 99.9% of everything.

If you insist, and your humor is so defunct, I look forward to "hysterical" comments about the deaths of your grandparents, parents, significant other, so on and so forth. If that is all that we have to laugh about, then there's not much left for us all but the same 6 foot deep hole that we're going to.

Do you even have a sense of humor?

I'm just gonna be a killjoy here I guess. Since I've been on this forum, this is the third or so time this joke has come up.

I'm pretty positive you(and I) weren't alive when Pres. Kennedy was around, and weren't there for his policies, successes or failures, so what's the purpose of making a joke about an assassination? Regardless of what the man did during his time, we can't do anything about it since we weren't alive then.

I'm all for Chuck Norris jokes, but I'm pretty sure even he is probably disgusted by this one.

If you're destined to continue, though, branch out and make them for Lincoln, Garfield, McKinley, as well as the 8-11 other Presidents who had attempts on them. At least maybe you'll learn something on the road to bad humor. Maybe they could even be thrown in the LOLz thread.

D1K mode finished, ensue the flame and comments about what a whinea$$ I am for supporting the Presidential offices right to life.

Lighten up, Francis.
