And you don't think you got any of those strong morals from being raised in a Christian enviornment huh ?
Well sure but I’d mostly attribute that to having good examples as adults to learn from. It’s obvious to see that people with strong morals and strong sense of responsibility live better lives. Regardless of what name they put on their version of spirituality

The church is just like anything else. There’s good and bad people. Some of the biggest A-holes I’ve ever met in my life were via the church.

I was just never really able to actually feel strong about religion. I was never able to raise my hands during praise and worship and actually feel anything. I was never able to honestly fully commit to saying I believe this/that and this/that 100% etc… I have no desire to be fake, so I walked away from the church long ago and haven’t missed it.

Kind of continuing with the mindset I’m in, I sometimes wonder how many men within the church deep down don’t 100% click with it all either… but they primarily just go with it because of the good community/family structure/wholesome environment for children/tradition, etc..

There's a lot to unpack, but many people are there for community, which is good. They current state of the church is highly fragmented due to schism after schism after schism and a few iconoclasms for good measure. To the point where people have "singing at the air" rituals, strobe lights and fog machines, but have never heard of the Liturgy of St John Chysostom. This is not to say all who go there are lost, the believe in Christ is a matter of faith, not attendance, and not simple ritual. Many saints were forged not in the halls of church, but in wilderness. I haven't attended in years myself after my state blocked it due to Covid I fell away. I did recently learn my denomination does exist here and will likely start again.

Ultimately I am an ignorant sinner like the rest of us. May the Lord have mercy.

Funny how some folks get their panties twisted over religion. For the record, I believe in God. Like Terry, I spend a lot of time outdoors and I figure there's no way all this came about by accident. Man creates religion to try to explain it, simple as that. It's an unjust world - we have to try to make sense of it.

That said, tranny shows are garbage, and I'd love to see the trash taken out. To me it would be far better to quit protecting the folks that create such events and let the mob do as they wish, rather that instill more power to the state to regulate what parents can and can't do.

It's a rocky backwards uphill road to get there, but look at what we have today:
We decided it should be taxpayers that fund single moms and bastard babies. (how does the church feel about this?)

We decided that we shouldn't discriminate against anyone. (how does the church feel about this?)

Over the last fifty-plus years, unwed motherhood has risen. Abortions have taken the lives of countless little bastards since Roe v Wade. You reckon the lowering of our standards and being too gutless to "judge" might have enabled a bit of this cultural shift?

As CZ said above, it probably isn't single dads taking their kids to events like this. If the church wanted us to retain some sense of decency and identity as a civilized people, perhaps they shouldn't be so quick to fold when some deviant throws up "Shall not judge" in their face. There's a helluva lot more in the Bible than the limpwristed attitude that we all must tolerate the nonsense people adopt in what used to be our culture.

Our "Christian kindness" has helped to bring about our own destruction.

I'm an avid, no, make that "serious, amateur photographer." As a photographer, I see evidence of God every day as it is in all of His creation.

So, without God, how did the universe come about? And, how about all the complexity of everything from the simple cell to the wonder of the human body and all the interactions of the organs in that body? Are you going to say that we came about by accident?
You can ask your parents if you were an accident, I'm not going to.

Be sure to thank that god for cancer, famine, disasters etc, and not just the pretty things in photographs.

I was raised exactly as ready aim fire, but don’t believe in any of that non sense anymore. Yes i believe my morals and general personality were influenced by that upbringing.

My kids are some of the best well mannered children you will ever meet with some of the exact some morals and attitudes a Christian home has, however, they are not exposed to
Church at all. Being a generally good human being is not unique to Christianity.

At the end of the day, I don’t buy into the God of Christianity. I believe there probably isn’t one at all but If there is, it’s definitely not the same dude most people think of.

As far as all the other gods being satan, I’ve seen men blow themselves up in the name of their God but don’t think you’ll find that level of dedication in Christian’s. (As a general idea, not exactly the blowing themselves up part LOL)

It amuses me to watch this going on. Christians don’t believe in any of be other hundreds of Gods out there because theirs is the best. The idiot who openly chose one race over all others then had to sacrifice his son to backtrack. It’s almost as bad as Zeus turning into a goose and banging a queen.

That's not how it works , there is only one God you don't have to like it but everything else is idolatry . As for your warped interpretation again you are wrong. All of humanity descended from Adam and Eve and to wit God created the nation of Israel so that all other Nations would come to know him. Salvation has never been only for the Jews but rather came out of the Jews .

I hope one day you actually can sit down and critically read the bible and learn to understand it whether or not you are ever saved is irrevelant. Biblical scholarship is a complex thing and many devote decades to including non Christians ... true story..
