I'm up to 2 or more pots of coffee per day and 4-5 hours of sleep per night to keep up with work right now. And really, I'm actually still behind and trying to catch up. Took forever to find a developer in the tech world's current super-low unemployment climate... Supply and demand sucks on that side of things...

Anyway... I'm particular about my coffee. I like it like I like my beer - dark and thick. 8 heaping tablespoons of Folgers Black Silk per pot in the morning (the filter overflows with any more than that)... 6 in the afternoon (gotta sleep at some point)... And no, I don't do cream or sugar - I like it black.

I go up to OKC typically once a week. I'm getting tired of the gas stations that don't understand the real reason behind the McDonald's coffee lawsuit and getting coffee that is undrinkable until about the time I get to the Calumet exit. (I could probably drink it, but I'd rather keep my taste buds intact for the cigars and scotch later).

I want the best coffee thermos available. I know some of you construction and oilfield types probably know what works and what doesn't. Whatcha recommend?

I carried one in a big truck for years. Probably still have it in a box somewhere in a closet. No glass bottles, only stainless vacuum bottles. Thermos is still a good brand. Just don't ever get glass. I swear, I could have used this thermos as a wheel chock.

Hard to beat a Stanley. Green steel body. Walmart has them and the replacement caps for them. I even use mine at home in the winter. And lol at your opinion of McD's. Good coffee but I hate having to wait an hour to drink it...

Another vote for Stanley. When i was trucking over the road I could get a cup and fill my Stanley up and it was good for many MANY hours.

Carried the green Stanley Stainless for years while working construction. I found pre-heating the thermos with boiling water right before filling with coffee would keep the coffee hot til the last drop.

The Stanley and Nissan Thermos are my recommendations, and they have fortunately already been mentioned. You need to get one of these.
