Afternoon all!

I'm looking to build a "cold weather frame" for a winter garden. I'm looking for some of the hard clear type plastic (like a Lexan) Do any of ya have experience with this? It's gotta be durable. We have chickens that like to climb everywhere. **Would like to do it on a budget** was thinking of cedar pickets for the frame.

As always thanks in advance!

There are "high tunnels" and greenhouses.

There is a ridgid type panel used that has internal gaps for its insulating properties.

There is also a method of two layers of polyethylene with a blower to inflate it pushing the layers apart for insulating properties.

Then there is the single thickness rigid with virtually no insulating properties.

No matter your choice the sun will consume the plastic in a number of years, so be prepared for future replacement.

You will also need to invest in shade cloth too
