Here, but occasionally There.
I am very familiar with the plant you hauled Anhydrous Ammonia out of.

Back many years ago when I worked as a supervisor building railroads for a railroad contractor, we rebuilt the track going into that plant.

If my memory serves me correctly, there was a fracturing plant on one side of the tracks and another plant on the other side that produced different gases such as helium, oxygen, etc.

All I ever saw what the Anhydrous Ammonia side. No clue as to what else they may have produced.

Pay phones? They still exist? The only ones I've seen lately are the ones in Pond Creek Ok. They have their own phone system. Still a dime to call the last time I saw which was a couple of years ago.
I got an old man friend who owns an old-time tackle store in Omaha, Nebraska - he has a pay phone hanging on the wall of his old-time shop; this dude is like 90 (maybe a little older) and still goes in every day. Anyway - the phone company came in to take out his payphone and he said he wanted to keep it. The guys didn't have the heart to rip it off the wall, so they bypassed the coin op and left it hanging for him.

I saw one somewhere in Oklahoma, they had a for sale sign on it. They were nearly all a 400 number.

I was discussing this a week or so ago with the farrier. Collect, person to person, operator assisted, 3rd number billing. All of that took an operator. My sister worked as an operator for Bell in MS while her husband was in Vietnam.

Does that job even exist anymore?
