Why not release them in 460 and 500. And build something nobody else does.

I like leverguns but I see this being a big miss. Henry and Marlin are making great levers in that same caliber and "style", and are tried and true.

My guess would be because those aren't mainstream calibers. Not very many people have another gun in those calibers. Lots of people have .44 mags...and ammo to go with it. Prolly thinking they'll sell more because of that.

It looks like a nice gun...but not something I'd be interested in at this moment. Lots of folks will, though.

I don’t know about 44, there are still lots of Marlin 44s to be had a decent price. But 357, they wouldn’t be able to keep it in stock.
