Computer Tune Up

Is there someplace in the Okc area that can do a computer tune up. I'd like to get someone that knows what they are doing, but doesn't charge an arm and leg.

My laptop has slowed down quite a bit and I'd like to find out how to get the speed back that it used to have.

There is a store on the south side called CDR electronics at 240 & Penn. I'm not sure how much they charge but they do a good job.

I bet if you just add more memory it would speed it up.

cdr is a ripoff they sale broken stuff at near new retail prices

if you are comfortable-ish with computers you can do the following:
1. back up everything you want to keep
2. do a fresh re-install of your OS.
3. reinstall your old programs (ninite can be really helpful here)
4. copy your old files onto your fresh install

Takes more time but you are practically guaranteed to have a computer that runs just as well as when you first purchased it

Yea im interested in this as well. Have any of you bought any of the computer programs that promise new speeds. CCleaner comes to mind and Advanced System Care.

back up everything like said on a thumb drive u want to keep and do a frest install. takes time but is usually free

It could be even faster. If you're reinstalling from scratch you won't have the preinstalled bloatware that often comes with PCs.

Never trust a vendor install, wipe that crap and lay down a fresh copy.

Unless you made a recovery disk when you purchased your laptop, a fresh install on a laptop could be a very time consuming and difficult process getting everything working again. Good luck with that if you've never done it before.
