You are correct sir. I know this because I handled lawsuit claims for many property disputes similar to this scenario. Those bulldozed trees become very valuable when a lawyer is suing for intentional destruction of property. Stay on your side of the property line, and better yet, get a current survey.

I have erected several fences over the years. As long as the fence is on your property it is yours and no one can say boo.

You missed the point he stated he wanted to clear timber 10 ft either side of the fence line which means he would be 10 ft on someone elses property, No one is arguing what he can do on his own property aslong as he stays on or inside his property line.

I hear that and do not recommend it. I would never build a fence on someone else's property.
