Been looking and haven't been able to find a clear answer about the min age for constitutional carry in Oklahoma. It looks like by permit its 21 unless in Military service is the same true for permitless. My daughter is 20 and works a late night shift.

My impression was the earlier age limit statutes still held, 18 years old =legal to own, carry, use long arms. 21 years=handguns legal. I’ve helped familiarize, train, instructed every female in my family on pistol and shotgun use. Most by age 16. Getting them to think about dressing correctly to carry is another issue, in progress.

Ive seen were the appeals court found the 21 age limit on pistols is unconstitutional just wasn't sure if it had trickled down to carrying. She will probably purse carry because fashion comes first. My main concern for her is transitional spaces work to the car, and car to the house late at night.

I emailed some government agency here a while back when wondering the same thing and was told you had to be 21 in order to concealed carry a handgun in Oklahoma without a permit.

An 18-20 year old can own a handgun, they just can't purchase one from a dealer or carry it concealed.

Make sure she understands to open that purse and keep a hand on that firearm when entering into the parking lot.
Any attack isn’t going to allow unzipping and fumbling around in the purse to recover the gun and bring it into play.
Sadly I’m still working on this issue with my wife.

Your absolutely right about hand on the gun because more than likely the bad person is going to try and snatch that purse.
