Pulled from a Facebook post from channel 9.

"The governor says the concealed carry and open carry bills she’s already signed into law are sufficient enough."

The queen has spoken!

I say the offices she's held to date are sufficient enough. From here out, it's torpedoes, all tubes firing.

Lets contact our state senate and house members and tell them to call for a special session to over ride.

Below is what I sent.....

My name is John and my wife and I both have voted for you and we would like to urge you to call for a special session to over ride the veto on Senate Bill 1212. Our state has allowed the recognition of people to carry in our state that do not need a permit to carry in their own state based on their ID. However we are considered second class citizens by our governor and she needs to be sent a message that it is NOT acceptable. Send a message to Ms. Fallin that you are willing to stand up for the people you represent and will not roll over to outside special interest groups who do not care a bit about the people who actually live here.

Copy and paste it verbatim if you like (though you may want to put your name) and send it to your state reps http://www.oklegislature.gov/FindMyLegislature.aspx

I still believe it was decided long ago to wait until the last minute to pass it, so there would be no real chance of an over ride so they can go out and stump about how they passed it but that durned ole Mary just would not sign it! As I have said, a couple of times, just a big tap dance!

Really tough sell in today's climate. Our side needs to do a much better PR job. The "anti's" usually have some very professional looking spokesperson, while we usually end up with the local neckbeard. The 2A rights of shall not be infringed is butting up against the lives of students being infringed almost every month. Some sharper minds need to get the message out in a better fashion.

It seems logical to start by contacting the authors of the legislation, first to get their reaction both to the veto and next to the possibility of a special session.
And especially let 'em know, "The governor says the concealed carry and open carry bills she's already signed into law are sufficient enough."

That alone sticks in my craw. Like she has been so generous with our 2A rights. :bah:
