What a bunch of whiners... It's amazing how many people are "losing money, suffering business losses, and unable to operate their business"; when the outage is limited to residential e-mail service! Really?

Now for my turn to whine... I actually won an auction on gunbrokers.com tonight! I hope that lack of an e-mail address to receive the confirmation e-mails doesn't kluge the deal!!

I guess I'll go to bed and hope there is cox e-mail in the morning...

This is what is posted now at Cox.net:

Summary
Email Outage Update as of 9:30 am, December 16th
Detail
Since our update at 1:00 a.m., our teams continue to make progress in restoring email service to our customers in the Midwest and East Coast regions. Teams across all levels of our organization are focused on the recovery and we truly apologize for the inconvenience this has caused. At this time we cannot provide an estimated time for recovery, but will continue to work around the clock until email service is restored.

The 2 Cox sisters (it's a family owned company) are worth $25 B. You'd think proactive infrastructure upgrades & a little redundancy in their system wouldn't break the bank. :bah:
