Dang we have a bunch of cicadas this year

The kids love for me to catch them. The 5 year old will hold one, The 2 year old likes to throw them at his sister.

This is the first time I saw one shed.

I have been finding their empties all over my place.

Walk outside and you can hear em.

That sounds like my place every July-August. Those suckers are almost deafeningly loud in the early evening of a summer day.

You have to go outside to hear them? I'm sitting here in my living room and I hear them right now. And I'm almost positive it's not entirely my tinnitus.

Mine is a constant Cicada call, tinnitus. That sound is exactly what I hear 24-7.

Cicadas and Mantises are proof there are other creatures in the universe on other worlds.

Weird little bugs. I like both of them.
