He was Mayor Mick's protegé. We have had "moderate republican" mayors in OKC since Patience Latting (I was a kid back then and remember the angst of the "big city" electing a woman as mayor.) Thing is even if she had been a he, she still would have been considered a moderate republican at the time.
The only “Republicans” who support open primaries in red states, are closet liberals. Holt is a liberal, just like Tulsa mayor GT Bynum.
Well, since Okc has a lot more % of libs that smaller towns, real conservatives can’t get elected. A moderate or centrist Republican is as good as we’re gonna get in a large city, unfortunately .
