Never said they were bad people. (Well, other than the ones who use Masonic tail lights to get out of tickets). I did say Freemasonry was a step toward the New World Order by placing all religions on the same pedestal, which they are not.

AND WHY WOULD HAVING A MASON EMBLEM HELP YOU GET OUT OF A TICKET? Masons are just people joined together in brotherhood that tries to do good in the world- period. Sure, they are humans and humans do things sometimes to excess, or don't get the meaning of things, or just have to slam something cause they don't know about it, or just heard a sound bite here and there. Why in the hell can't you just do your thing and let others do theirs. Shriners, who are a branch of Masons provide free care to children with disabilities in many hospitals and clinics all over North America and have been doing that for a 100 years. All other Masonic bodies provide all types of care and community services all over the world, for nothing in return. But most of all, Masons try to help one another find the goodness that exist in every man and encourage them to expand that. Just like every other area of human of life- are there those who fall short- sure- are there those who are to bold about it- sure. But the goal is always to strive to be better. For some, you need to get over the cockyness of youth, or for some maybe you never get over being a cock. Hopefully people grow up enough to study and lean about things before they just form an opinion about them.

The same can be said about a college fraternity. Secret societies have been around forever and nothing wrong with that fact. Some people just want to know things without participating and life doesn't always work that way.

Seems to me unless you can start your opinion with “when I was in the Masons” everything that comes out of your mouth is pretty much nothing more than hearsay and lacks any meaningful substance. Honestly the first thing that comes to mind as a comparison is people who are vehemently opposed to gun ownership and the 2A who have never fired a shot let alone owned a gun. Everyone is entitled to have an opinion however to me the only opinions (regardless of the subject) that really matter are from people that have been there done that. For instance, my father was in Vietnam USMC 1964-67 and I was born in ‘68 so obviously not. If you want to know what it was like being in the Vietnam War you gonna listen to him or me?

Wow, the posts here are all over the place. I’ll start by saying I’ve been initiated into two national ‘fraternities’ both of which were almost identical. The fraternal initiation is definitely taken from the ceremony of the Masons.
The Masons were never going to take over the world or move us closer to a NWO. If you believe that then every college fraternity is going to do it too. Fat chance, right.
It’s a social thing built around a common ideology or philanthropy. Nothing more so stop reading more into it.
Next, every lodge is different. Some adopt policy that people don’t agree with and members will change lodges. There are lodges that center around religion, or guns, or hunting. There are lodges that are very conservative but there are also lodges that are far more moderate.
I’m just saying, it may not be for everyone but the men and ladies involved in a particular lodge has a lot to do with it.
Lastly, I’m not active but will probably be in my retirement years. I really want to get involved with the Shriners for the incredible work they do with kids that have terrible medical conditions.

The reality is that Freemasonry is essentially a secular religion, with “knowledge”, rituals and oaths.

Why are you so obsessed with needing to know what they do? If you want to know, join. How does a 32* make a difference in your life? Answer - It doesn't.
