Dillon 650 question

They do come with one caliber conversion kit installed, but no dies.

Edit to add: One powder die too. Just no reloading dies, everything else comes with it.

Hi,

Ty is right, no dies come with the 650 (or 550). The SDB and 1050 do come with dies.

My favorite dies are Redding Pro Series, they are only $10 more than Dillon.

I _guess_ you could call them dies; I somewhat recall them looking more like metal bushings... I had a SDB in the early 90's.

Lee dies are barely long enough but all I have tried are good to go

A little trick I learned for using Lee dies with a Dillon system is to screw the locking ring on from the bottom side of the toolhead instead of the top.

My 650 came with everything for whatever caliber you choose, except the dies. To change caliber you buy a conversion kit $75 plus the dies. You dont need new toolheads unless you choose to. The expander die/powder die comes with the conversion kit or original 650 depending on caliber.
