$2.79 in Ponca where the refinery is. We call it the local tax. Other cities that have to transport it sell for cheaper. How does that happen when transportation is taken out of the price? (I know)
I bought gas for 2.04 at the Loves in south Norman Friday.
Gas here in Virginia is averaging around $2.90 per gallon. Heading back to OK tomorrow morning, so we will be glad to see cheaper prices.
ya well I bought a new truck (gasser 1/2 ton) and never even thought about what gas to use in it. First time I go to add some juice to it, big numbers on the inside of the lid "91" octane. That make the cheese a little more binding.

Mostly unrelated, but I wonder, if power levels of most common vehicles was held at 1980s levels, what kind of gas mileage could we have today? In other words, if the average car had a theoretical 140 hp, and the manufacturers worked on mileage and drivability only for the last 40 years, what mpg do you think they'd be at today?
I appreciate power and all, but does everyone need 400hp in their commuting truck or suv? If you want it, that's cool, but really, there's a crap ton of unnecessary hp available available out there on daily driven soccer mom commuter type vehicles.
