Are the Ram 1500 V6s any good? Been thinking of picking up a 2019 or newer.
I have a 2020 with a HEMI and couldn’t imagine having it any other way. But,,, I do probably carry about 1000# + everywhere I go and pull trailers from time to time. Best I can get loaded is 17mpg. Without all my tools and material I can get over 20

Ford and Toyota are saying the days of the V8 are over as well. Six bangers with superchargers can generate the same HP and torque as a V8 for the most part.
I'll miss that throaty roar from the engine if that ever happens.

Yep. That 6 may make more power but it’s just not the same.

@mouthpiece —- I finally have a permit from the county to build my detached shop. After that is done the dream has been to get the 55 f100 over here and try my hand to hack a motor in it. As killer as a small eco boost could be the dream has always been the v8

Toyota has said that by 2025 all of their vehicles will be either a hybrid or all electric.

I figure within the next 10 years most vehicles on the road will be electric.

Battery disposal and or recycling will be the big down side.
