I have the task of making a raised bed garden for my Son-in-law. I thought about wood but I think a couple of old stock tanks will work better.
Does anyone have any rusty crusty long narrow stock tanks they want to get rid of?

No stock tanks, but I made some with treated 2x12s about 4 years ago. Still holding up well. Railroad ties work too if you can get help carrying them. Line the bottom with landscape fabric first.
I did that and found out the treated wood's chemicals were stunting my plants.
Really? I never had a problem. My okra was higher than me. We use miracle grow on them though so it might be 6/1 half dozen of another.
And your health.
Raised bed lumber, pressure treated safe?
There aren't any arsenic boards sold in the USA anymore. Current boards have no health concerns.
