I'm only seeing local birds and not a lot either. What does it look like in your neck of the woods?
About the same here, not very many little birds. (this year hatch)
Fields between T-town and Okmulgee were loaded last week, not as many this week. Moved on? Last week was the most dove I've seen around here in years.

With the two 50 degree nights we are going thru, it will all change. Time will tell.
I've been driving out in western OK all week. I haven't been seeing any more than the usual. I don't think it's gotten cold enough up north to move them down.
Ridgehunter I have been seeing them like that in town. Dang city bird feeders are drawing them on in. Reckon a silenced 12 gauge might be the answer.
One thing I have noticed is a lot of no till farmers worked the crop residue under this year or burned it off or both. There is a lot less grain stubble on the surface. The wetter spring and summer might have been hard on nesting birds as well.

I booked a guided hunt for mid Sept last week. I hope it's a good one. I've heard Curt's guide service is top notch.
Good luck, I have heard mixed reports. Some good some bad, of course it is hunting. So sometimes birds are there, sometimes they aren't.
