Do you allow hunters? Would enjoy geese with no ducks. Is it leased or day permission? Text me 405-694-7807 if something could be worked out?
My farmer Tennent Sub let the hunting rights to a local guide @ 4k for the year. Ive allowed that to be honored this season, and not really sure what im going to do next season. He had 15+ people on one parcel when I popped in last Saturday and I hear he charged them 400 a gun. CRAZY! And it all started when my Sisinlaw had a cousin in town and asked if he could hunt the day. Knowing that nobody should've been on the field I said sure. Then we had a Well the land owner gave me permission VS the renter giving permission issue. And yes the lease states no sub let. I'll send you a text. Save my # and hit me up next season. Guys on here will always get priority just under family.

I used to hear about ten of these stories a year. Then the big guides with the big money arrived.

Damn guides. Many are from out of state. All the good fields in the northern half of the state are rented by guides from Arkansas, Missouri, Kansas etc. Makes it tough for the home state guys to find a good hunt.
I was chasing geese before steel was required. There was a small number of guys that would put the windshield time in and build real relationships with landowners. No money ever exchanged hands. We were just helping each other out with mutual respect.

My brother is a landowner and farmer. He is NOT a fan of guides. To make a visual. mention one and he spits on the ground. Granted im new to this mess, but walking up on this guy with guys in camo walking everywhere. I look down and MORE than 10 were buried in these little boxes.... Looking up at me. WTH!! Its not always about the $$ I guarantee when I drive back out to that field, those holes will still be there. THATS the problem. That and liability.

I’m as disgusted with the outfitters in NW Oklahoma as anyone, and though they’re the root of the problem, they’re not going anywhere as long as people are willing to pay their ridiculous prices. There’s too many people with too much money that are willing to pay whatever to hunt and not have to do the work themselves.

Ah, the good old days. I remember them well. Forty years ago you just went over to the winter wheat fields by Wagoner, banged on a couple doors, be polite and you could hunt all the snow geese you wanted.
Not no more!
