I appreciate jeeps. Like ai said I still have a stock 03 TJ 5 speed with 105K on the clock. It's a back up vehicle for the family and my 12 year old says she wants it when she turns 16. I have had a YJ, 2 TJs, 2 XJs, and a ZJ. I've also had a 4 runner with the 3.0 grenade engine. I have always wanted an 80 series, but a few years ago they sky rocketed in value. 100 series Toyotas are the same way, but you can still get lucky sometimes and find the LX or GX 470s that were soccer mom cars for reasonable prices. I found my one family owned LX with over 9K in recent key maintenance for a price I couldn't pass on. I'm sure I could do jeeps again in the future... But with the Lexus I won't ever need to.
Ive had an 80 series and it was awesome. Super heavy though. I love a bone stock 5sp TJ. One day I will get one.

I would trade my bone stock TJ for an 80 and a heartbeat.

Really? That surprises me. I guess the 80s really have gone up in value. When I had one you could get a clean one for 6k all day. I like the jeep better because the 80 while capable was just too big for me and it had leather and power everything which I don't really like.

I have a bone stock 98 TJ, 6cy, 5 speed half door soft top that I bought from a OSA members mom here a few years back with 61K miles. Was looking for a retired guys every day driver that I only use a couple times a week to keep the miles off my older Suburban to save for long trips. I have really enjoyed it,. Thought about lifting, gearing, big tires, etc, but decided I like it totally stock. I removed the back seat and the dog and groceries fit well. Yep, still need to sell my Gold Wing, rarely ride it any more since I have my Jeep.

I don't get out a whole lot but have been ducked 4 times. Yep first time was kinda strange, but now I see the fun someone had. Thanks for posting

I've got a Wrangler soft top with factory half doors. Don't remember ever getting a duck but I think I got a koozie once - maybe from a Jeep club or something? Don't drive it much though. Bought it new in 2016 and has about 17,000 miles on it.
Took it to Lake City, CO a couple of times to drive some trails.

I had an '80 CJ5, 6 cyl 4 speed, with 4" lift and 35" Monster Mudders.
Duck lease I had was a Swamp. My Jeep was the only vehicle that would make it to the back, where the ducks were. Full size Bronco, couple K10 Chevy and a 1st Gen Toyota 4Runner, all buried and I pulled out. It wasn't a hotrod, but it was unstoppable in mud.
