Don't know if you knew this or not, but the aluminum blocks in the Saturns, are sand casted... but they use a styrofoam blank to make the sand cast, then pour the molten metal, melting the styrofoam. Pretty cool, and you can see the styrofoam pattern in the block.

Get off my lawn.
One more piece of the big puzzle.

I'm also doing an 0411 pcm swap. It'll be the same computer (different program obviously) as like an '01 LS1 F body. Luckily they were still putting my Vortec motor setup in the Express Vans in 2001 so there is a PCM program for it. All I have to do is pop the wires out of my old black box PCM connectors and plug them into the new 80 pin connectors in the correct locations and I'll have a much better tuning platform for when I get the 383 in. I'm pretty excited about my project.

Got the new PCM installed today. The throttle response is noticeably better. Got a check engine light which is probably for crank variance. Most of the swaps require a relearn. I'll go see 4play to get fixed up. Got rear O2 and EGR deleted ready for exhaust!

I'll post a pic tomorrow when I get some daylight and time to get it buttoned up and back in the loom.

I have a 383ci Stroker in my '77 Camaro. It dyno's at 448HP at the rear wheels.

One thing that I would reccomend you do is upgrade heads before you drop the motor in. alumium are the best or performance.

But if I were you, I would put in some 202 double hump heads. They will increase performance alot on that stroker. and if you have the cash, high performance rods and lifters are good, and a performance cam shaft

I have basically that set-up. except mine has a holley 750 and victor Jr. intake
