They raced in Tulsa over the weekend. The group took Route 66 on the way to Amarillo. Downtown edmond was like a rolling car show. Pretty cool to watch

I went to the Bo Woody Memorial car show yesterday.
I have not heard about this Edelbrock thing.

I suppose if I was part of a car group I may have heard about it.

I did do a burnout for Bo Woody during the burnout "fest".

@swampratt , your truck would be perfect. The truck guys throw a set of slicks in the back. The car guys have to haul a trailer or put tires on a roof or trunk rack.
There are lots of drive and drag races. The rules state that you have to drive the car to the tracks.

I have a couple friends that would drive their cars to the track and then run in the low 5's in the 1/8 mile.
LS engines with power adders.
My stuff is slow and have never ran better than in the 7's in the 1/8.
One day I will build something respectable :)

That's all we did in the 70's to get to the track. We had a 65 Ford F100 and stuck a 327 RAT in it, Boomed down some tractor weights in the back along with some slicks and drove to Enid. We blew rumpty rump Corvettes and Cameros off the track.
