I have eaten kimchi, sashimi, squid, octopus, calf fries, lamb fries, and chicken gizzards. I feel I have been adventurous enough.
Well, I'm guessing you might be over 36, so you get a statistical pass.

I've had Salt and Vinegar Crickets before.
They tasted like cardboard.
Salty, acidic cardboard, I'm guessing. With a crunch.
Fried crickets are awesome. Got hooked on em in the Philippine market in Honolulu. Add butter, taste like popcorn
Wife and I ate fried crickets in Progresso Mexico in January of this year. They were actually pretty tasty. The street vendor put some mexican spice on them before eating them.
Same spice they put on the rim of a margarita if you don't want salt. I've seen it in local grocery stores. It was probably the Mexican spice that tasted good. I couldn't say about the crickets. If I get to starving, ...
Woody
Maybe I otta git me some ...Same spice they put on the rim of a margarita if you don't want salt. I've seen it in local grocery stores.
Studies say that if you're over the age of 36, you're very unlikely to be an adventurous eater. Don't be a statistic. Go to the taco truck, order the beef tongue, ceviche, pokė, etc... odds are, the more weird it sounds, the better it tastes.
But you can skip the menudo... That's just nasty.
Yeah, like Nuoc Mam. The murkier the better.During my 5 years and 8 months in Vietnam, and while completely sober, I ate home / farm raised stir fried water bugs (Lethocerus Indicus) a couple of times while in Vietnam......not bad at all if seasoned good and cooked well done so that the insides aren't still real squishy.
Knowing some of you fellas just had breakfast and would like to keep it down I won't go into some of the other things I ate while there.
