Everytown Pledges $25 Million to Combat Concealed Carry Reciprocity
Posted at 2:40 pm on April 10, 2017 by Beth Baumann
"Michael Bloomberg’s Everytown for Gun Safety has it’s sights set on the future. The gun control group announced their ambitious pledge to spend upwards of $25 million in the 2018 elections as a means of putting a stop to concealed carry reciprocity."...

Just more liberal "window dressing." $25M is a small amount when compared to the nationwide legal battle they would have to wage. This will buy a few newspaper ads and "after prime-time" commercials, but will do little. It's only so Bloomberg can tell his Snowflake followers that the NRA spent much more to oppose them.

Key comment there "...the NRA spent much more to oppose them". I've seen a few members of this forum complain about the NRA. Those members might not agree with everything the NRA has done, but there is no denying the NRA has had a positive impact on gun rights.

Very true, Hunter. A large number of people don't understand the art of negotiation. They believe that it should be "all or nothing" when the two sides sit down at the table. That isn't how the real world works - be it a friendship, a marriage, a contract, or politics - it's a give-to-get situation. While many have ridiculed the NRA for apparently giveing up too much ground in some cases; sometimes you must give a pebble today to get back a mountain tomorrow.
