Really? You post the kids pictures? I can show you pics of plenty of white-bread wholesome kids who murdered their parents, tortured kids, etc. Those pics mean nothing to me.
The guy went too far, that is agreed. Is he nuts? probably. does he deserve to just walk? probably not. cold blooded murder? Nope. Cold blood means that the victim of the murder did nothing wrong to provoke being murdered.

What they look like does not matter a bit. You can find good pictures of anyone. Good looking criminals are still criminals. The question is whether they deserved to be shot (and killed) or not. There is no question that these two committed a crime (breaking in) and intended to commit additional crime(s) (whether just burglary or assault, etc, we dont know)
If this guy had put them down in one shot as they came down the stairs would anyone be condemning this guy? I think not.
As a side note, if he had just killed the first one and let the second live after shooting to stop them, the surviving criminal would be guilty of felony murder for him killing the first one.
As I posted earlier, what the guy ended up doing was wrong, but it really bugs me when the media puts out these innocent looking pictures of the criminal looking like regular kids, and then repeatedly shows the victims arrest mug shot. Like the Treyvon Martin shooting, media showed an innocent looking kid picture over and over (even though it was way out dated and there were current pictures online he had posted but that made him look, um, more 'urban'?) while at the same time showing the other guys mug shot over and over again.

The pictures I posted were not for sympathy's sake - play stupid games, win stupid prizes. I did it as a reminder that innocent looking kids break into homes. What happened afterwards - makes me cringe.
Good to know. The chin shot is the bad shot. There was a lot of anger in that. Not that it mattered, she was dying as it was.

He deserves to be punished in my mind. I would not want to be on this jury. It is sad from every direction.

I am wavering in my initial thoughts on this. He was certainly wrong for the last shot (as i have always contended), everything up until then was justifiable. The last one was the anger shot and that gets him prison time. You can shoot in fear, but not anger. I would really not want to be a juror for this one, that is going to suck. The fact that this guy really seems to have a chip on his shoulder and is what sounds to me like a real prick, he is likely to go to prison. The media certainly has him convicted already.
