I live between Coweta and Wagoner, North of Porter.

Anyone hear/feel a loud explosion around 9:55am this morning? I drove around for about 30 minutes but didn't see anything suspicious. This was not something little, this was jump off the couch as the house is rattling saying what the heck was that with the four year old crying and the wife's eyes getting big as saucers.

Maybe I have some like-minded neighbors who just want to be left alone???

Anyone know of anything and/or hear it?

Could it have been an earthquake? The couple we had over by Norman a couple of years ago felt like a plane was crashing in our neighborhood over by Lake Overholser. Weirded me out ... I would have SWORN a plane had come down over here somewhere ...

You're getting into the UFO thing with this subject of hearing explosions. But seriously, if you do a search for 'mysterious explosions' you'll get all kinds of hits. It seems as there are strange loud explosions being heard virtually everywhere these days. We even heard one a couple weeks back.

I'm not sure, but it sounded like a bomb. I expected to drive around a see a neighbor's house splintered and laying on the ground with the noise. Also, thought about a propane explosion as well. We never did see any smoke. We live about 1.25 miles north of the turnpike, maybe something happened out there.

The weird thing was that we never heard sirens or saw LE/Rescue. If they didn't know, I sure ain't calling them. We have a rule on glocktalk, Never talk to the police. :).

Maybe just some neighbors having a meeting and making sure they're 'ready'.
