OKB how did turkey hunting go?

Thank you for all the well wishers. It was my first official guiding venture.
Turkey hunting went amazing! It was two fathers and sons from Arkansas. I guided one father/son team Friday and Saturday. All in all the group of 4 harvest 6 turkey and I think I grossed 7 hours of sleep for the weekend.
The 11 year old son that I was guiding had several firsts on this trip. Yesterday afternoon he turned to face a bobcat nearly face to face. He said he could see the whiskers and eye lids. I think he bout messed his britches. Today he shot his first turkey, 10" beard and 1 1/8" spurs. His dad had to take the shot yesterday as the turkeys came in unexpectedly in a different direction. He shot a tom and a jake in one shot. Had birds all over us Friday morning, Friday night, Saturday morning was just hens, but Saturday night, it was a good one. Worked a group of 3 jakes, 2 long beards and 4 hens in from around 400 yards away, and it took about 3.5 hours to get em in.

Jbarnett, I am short a boat trailer right now. Hopefully in a couple weeks the boat trailer will be ready.

YAY FOR RAIN!!! The crops need it. It started the light show here about 4am when I was getting up for work but didnt actually roll in till around 5 when I left for work. Rained ALOT till around 8 or 9am but now its just grey here.

It's a nice slow steady rain here.

Work huh? No rest for the wicked!! lol

What'cha been up too?? I've had a couple of surgeries on my neck. Thought I might be able to start shooting again but maybe not. Every time I go I wind up really hurting after a little bit. I'm not complaining though because she got rid of that friggin' constant headache I had ... It is SOOOOO nice ... Zombie can tell ya!! I'm not nearly so grumpy anymore! lol

LOL Ive been workin like crazy and havin my days off switched AGAIN so now im working sun-thursday, still no word from tinker so im still here at vance. I got a new savage rifle in 308 for hunting and my girl got herself a savage in 243 for hunting. Im STILL looking for a new shotty.... I really miss that ole 500 I sold haha.

But I THINK ive narrowed it down to a 590A1 SPX, or the 930 SPX, I jsut cant decide if I want the pump or semi!!

Im REALLY glad to hear u dont have the head aches anymore! Im still fighting crazy back pain and 2 MRIs later the docs up here say nothing is wrong and wrote me off haha......

But im finally getting back to seeing reba and its maybe getting better but ive only been twice in as many weeks haha.

Me and erin will be back down in okc area next friday and saturday for an appt with reba on friday and then hitting a BIG neighborhood garage sale sat in yukon and then on to the gunshow at the T&T Bldg.

Had to take my dog to the vet this morning, waiting to hear back on what the hell is wrong with him. Those vets arent cheap on Easter.
