Fawn's dropping

First one for me this year

Cool, haven't seen any yet, but have seen some fat does hanging around the place.

I am looking but nothing yet. The number of does that i normally see is now cut in half. They may be dropping their fawns now. The timing is about right. I expect more people will see the kids the later in the month we go.

Friend found a newborn Friday in his hay field.

Found a pair of twins on Tuesday afternoon as well. Maybe two hours old. Mom bolted as soon as she saw us.

I love to deer hunt. I am
Passionate for it but these little guys absolutely tug at the heart strings. This one can't be more than a few days old. Might have stood 16" inches at the top of the back.

Were cutting wheat right now. I've seen several spotted fawns running.

I saw a tiny one run across my yard this afternoon. I've seen a doe eating blackberries behind my shop the last couple evenings. I suspect that was it's momma.

I've probably seen a couple dozen easy in the last week or so cutting wheat, looks like a good crop on the ground.
