Thats great, it would sure be nice to be able to buy a gun from the bigger stores in Fort Smith, AR vs the small time pawn shops here in Poteau. Nearest "big" gun store is Tulsa, a 2 hour drive.

I'm with ya. I work in Fort Smith, but have to stay in OK for my handgun purchases.

Since this was a Federal "district" judges decision, what area does it affect?

IANAL -my understanding is that since this was an injunction, it only affects the buyers in DC and the Seller in Texas(those listed in the lawsuit), and will remain that way until the 5th Circuit decides on it. From there it will set precedent to be challenged elsewhere and get complimentary or contradictory affirmation in which case SCOTUS will likely be the end result(SCOTUS could hear it before other challenges elsewhere; but that is unlikely IMHO).

Don't hold your breath, because it could be a while(15+ years considering how fast the courts move) before any of this affects us(if it does at all). Although I hope my timeline is greatly exaggerated.
