Sailboat Bridge was a historic, first of its kind in OK, design and build.
I had a hand in the widening of (is it SH 10?) through Gore also.
That’s really cool CHenry. Now every time we drive over or under Sailboat bridge, I will think of you telling me this. Super Cool.
I certainly dont take full credit, it was a large group effort. I attended lots of design meetings in Gore and love that area.

I'll add, I didnt have anything to do with Bridge design, I was the Geometrics specialist. If there's and alignment change, that was all me. Its been a long time since and I cant remember what alignment changes I made but basically, I told them where to build it and reconnect at each end.

That’s pretty amazing CHenry. I always wondered how you can start on opposite ends and be able to meet up perfectly in the middle. It takes skills for sure.
Simple offset and reverse curves at each end. Not really rocket science. lol But thanks, I do pat myself on the back for over 1000 projects that I worked on alone. I was the man ODOT came to for new alignments to meet current design speed. Not gloating, just taking credit where its due.

Well it pretty amazing to me. I know it nothing coming from me but I will thank you for know how to and achieve Offsetting the reverse curves at each end. I’m not sure what I just said but it sounds pretty mathematical. LOL!!!
Its all math, computers do it today but thats garbage in, garbage out. I had to do it by hand back in the day.
