As well as the five found stabbed to death, one juvenile family member was critically injured and taken to the hospital, according to Sgt. Thomas Cooper of the Broken Arrow Police Department. Another juvenile family member was found unharmed, Cooper said.
All of the victims and suspects were part of the same family and all lived at the home, he added.
Police went to the dwelling after receiving a 911 hang-up call at 11:30 p.m. local time on Wednesday (12:30 a.m. ET Thursday), Cooper said.
The two teen suspects were tracked to a wooded trail area behind the house, he added.
Cooper told NBC News that the incident was "almost unprecedented" in the city of around 100,000.
"This is a relatively safe community, smaller than Tulsa and what you might call a bedroom community," Cooper said.
