Lomax here and still happy with it after 4 years of use.
My personal favorite cover was the Retrax ones. On my current truck I've under and Undercover or something because it was 300 on FB Marketplace compared to 1100 for the Retrax and that took precedence.
I have a Roll N Lock on my 07 Z71 GMC, got it used from a neighbor it was two years old, had it installed, has worked great since 2007. It works like an overhead roll up door. Aluminum with a rubber cover.

Have a gator. It's ok. Folds out if the way but covers the back glass. Nearly 100% water proof. A diamondback would be nice and sturdy.
Pace Edwards roll up. Full metal jacket IIRC. Expensive but worth every penny.
Bak flip and really like it.
hard rolling is my favorite. aluminum support but yet rolls up easy and doesnt take up much room once rolledup. With a locking tailgate, they have to break to get in, but wouldnt be hard, but out of sight is out of mind. I like it much better than folding imo and have had folding also. like the rolling better.
