In theory yes. A highly polished surface will hold off corrosion longer. Don't know why but it does. Unless you just totally neglect these, there shouldn't be an issue with blasting them.

You can check out mine if you want. Just PM me The blasting creates a porous surface which holds gun oil very very well (so well it does not feel oily and does not rub off). The oil is what gives it the grey patina. Without the oil the stainless looks almost white. anyway....... Oiled Stainless = double corrosion resistant.
