woman steals doughnut, pees in parking lot, offers sex to investigating officer

BARTLESVILLE, Okla. (AP) — Police say an Oklahoma woman tripled her trouble when she stole a doughnut from someone's truck, peed in a parking lot and offered to perform a sex act on an officer for money.

The 27-year-old Tulsa woman was being held Thursday in Washington County Jail on charges of vehicle burglary, trespassing, indecent exposure and soliciting prostitution. Jail records do not show if she has a lawyer.

The Bartlesville Examiner-Enterprise reports that the truck owner complained to police that the woman stole the doughnut at about 2 a.m. Wednesday. A convenience store clerk asked police to charge the woman because he said she relieved herself outside the store.

Officer R.S. Detherow says that when he told the woman she was under arrest, she offered to perform a sex act for money.

I'm not saying Tulsa is the safest place in the world. But it defenitely does not belong anywhere on a list with places like Memphis or Detroit. Those places are flat out scary. Completely useless list.

The reason Tulsa is so high is because they include traffic incidents. Anyone ever notice how you start hearing sirens about 10 minutes after it starts to rain? And how center lines on roads are taken as guidelines rather than rules?

If we pass State Question 744 and devote 5% of the money to driver's ed I'm sure that we could get down to at least 20th most dangerous.

Uh oh here comes the debate on SQ 744

I have no real opinion on SQ 744. I'm just saying that Oklahoma's driver's ed program is in obvious need of an overhaul.

After actually looking up what SQ 744 says, I think that deciding educational spending in terms of the average of per-pupil spending of surrounding states is sort of dumb, especially because some of those surrounding states have way more money than Oklahoma does.
