I love cobbler. I always thought it was a German style pie but looking it up its colonial. People wanted to make pie and it came about due to lack of traditional ingredients.

I've had it both ways, love it regardless, but tip a tiny bit towards the pie-crust style. Last time I got some blackberry cobbler was at Black Bear Diner, in Moore. The food was great, but their cobbler is made from cans, and the canned taste is inescapable.Good eye! We like the pie crust mode!
Black raspberry? Same thing as a mulberry?You haven't lived until you've had black raspberry cobbler! Not sure if they're an Oklahoma thing, but I had them all around the house I lived in as a kid back east.
