I've had these guns done over a period of several years, saving my pennies and selling other guns to finance the engraving. I can't seem to stop myself.
Around 20 years ago I bought a Marlin 1894 .44 Magnum. My dad cut the barrel down 16" inches and recrowned the muzzle with hand files. He recut the front sight dovetail as well. I added a saddle ring and took the white butt spacer out when I refinished the stock and forearm down to a satin look. My best friend had a CAD-CAM at work and he also had a Marlin. His dad had a Winchester John Wayne Commemorative so my friend blue printed both levers and then overlayed them. He made a few Marlin John Wayne big loop levers. He had them blued by Klein Plating to match the Marlin finish and he gave one to me. It dropped right in. This gun has always been very special to me because of the work my dad and my best friend did on it for me. I shipped it off to Gouse and I also had a butt pad made by www.levergunleather.com with a Mountain Lion carved in the leather.
