Frigid Wind Sucks

The windchill made it feel like 12 degrees this morning. I mostly work inside, so the 65 minutes I spent outdoors this morning was miserable.

How do you guys that work outdoors all the time do it? You have my respect!

I saw a bunch of righands tooting around a derrick this morning, like they weren't even that bugged by the cold. What?

Carhartt makes good coveralls and coats.

Yep - layer up, use insulated coveralls and boots, and keep your head covered.

The air temp was 11 here this morning, WC 1. As far as the oil field workers, $$$$$$$$$$ has a high insulating R-value.

Some insulated coveralls, a few layers underneath, and a good zero hood make all the difference.

It didn't seem that bad this morning. It was nice not to sweat on a December morning. Heck only the water tanks had a little ice on them this am. The ponds where still open. So it wasn't that cold. Sure do like cold weather. Summer Sucks ! I hate the heat. Might have to look for a farther north job these Oklahoma summers are about to kill me.
