You get used to it like anything else. Your body will adjust.

No ... no, it will not. I've tried ... The old bones have NEVER been able to handle the cold, even when they were young bones ...

That combined with good cold weather clothes make it a non issue. Now when I did roofing for awhile working on those 100+ degree days on top of those hot roofs i'm not sure how I did it but i'm glad I don't have to do that anymore.

GAH! I'm not sure how you guys do the extremes ... I'm a big fan of hot weather -- the hotter the better, but I never had to hang out on a hot roof working all day either.

Here, but occasionally There.
My mother used to say that she preferred the winter months instead of summer. Her reasoning was that she could always put on enough clothes to stay warm, but could not take OFF enough to stay cool in the summer.

I was well into my 40's before I ever had a job that entailed a LOT of working indoors. Long-handles, layers, and the body adjusting is what makes the difference. Just be glad you didn't have these temps in the Panhandle where the winds tend to really make cold more difficult to take.

My mom use to say the same thing. I now tell my kids that too.

But with all due respect it was not that cold this morning. I had to work in it all day.
