Everything young people and Democrats now own was bought from Republicans and Old People. Thanks for the great deal. Sometimes when ya buy an old house ya hafta tear it down and rebuild it.
Trying to argue responsibility with older liberals is like getting on to a dog that eats its own feces; you are wasting your time. And there you go. It must be true, when you have no solutions, blame someone else.

It's also like calling the Kettle black.

Reducing taxes so I can afford to hire more people at my business?
Hiring more people so they can pay more taxes and purchase things other people need to make so they hire more workers also who pay more taxes?
Cutting back on EPA and IRS regulations so businesses can expands rather than close?
Drilling and producing more of our own 200 year supply of oil?
Change welfare so you will be ahead if you take one of those jobs, not worse off?
Stop ignoring the constitution?
Back off of the concept everything you do is permitted by some kind of law or you can not do it, including what kind of toilet you can purchase for your house.
Yep, us old guys are out of touch and voted for the lesser of the evils.
We are of the generation that invented radio, TV, video games, your cell phones, computers, the internet, your tincan cars, put a man on the moon using sliderules, and tried to give you an education of common sense. Somewhere we failed and tried to support you until you could support yourself. Instead too many learned to work the system, and the system is generous because it can still spend someone else's money. Now the system is getting strangled. We are broke as a nation and you will wake up one day and see the results of you efforts. Look how much closer we are to a third world country we are now than say 1980. Yep, us old guys are out of touch with what is going on now. That is because we touched the 60's, 70's, and the 80's, sorry you all missed it. We built it, and proud we did. We are not reaching out in joy to touch what is here and now and in store for the rest of the 2010's and beyond. Good luck to you and your socialism and your new world order mentality. Enjoy what you have now, it will be much less later. Sugar daddy is cutting you off.
I was just wondering where all the narcissism went to on this board. Glad to see "we" haven't lost our touch.

Perhaps most egregiously, the baby boomers, led by boomer-coddling leaders in Washington, are bequeathing a runaway national debt and a gaping federal budget shortfall that their children and grandchildren will have to pay--through higher taxes or reduced benefits, or both--if they don't want the country to go broke. Balancing America's future receipts and obligations would require all taxes to rise by 35 percent "immediately and permanently," and all federal entitlement benefits to decrease by another 35 percent, the International Monetary Fund estimated last year. Shielding boomers from that pain--as most so-called deficit hawks in Washington propose--would dramatically increase the bill for everyone else. Brigham Young University economists Richard Evans and Kerk Phillips and Boston University economist Laurence Kotlikoff published a paper in January that projected a 1-in-3 chance that the U.S. economy will reach "game over" within 30 years. In their definition, "game over" means that the government's obligations to seniors (thanks again, boomers) will exceed 100 percent of everyone else's earnings. In other words, all the young workers in America together won't earn enough to pay down the government's obligations to their parents.
