Jax my labrador, best friend and hunting buddy had blood samples and fluid pulled from an inflamed joint today to test for a fungal disease. His attitude has been great and just as active as ever but his elbow joint was swelling and sometimes after heavy activity he would limp a little. In July, we went to the Vet to have Jax looked at. Radiographs showed quite a bit of bone loss in his humorus, radius and ulna. We were referred to a specialist to identify what caused it and a treatment plan.
Anyone have experience with Coccidioidomycosis a.k.a. Valley Fever?
Another fungal disease he mentioned is Aspergillosis.
