Lots of miles under my belt driving a M35...
I’d love to have one of those neat bobtail versions
As a young Marine I always enjoyed being up on the ring mounted 50 cal. Especially out at the Stumps, you were in a breeze and had somewhat cleaner air. Plus, I didn't have to dismount every time we stopped to pull security....I was on the 50.
Hear, ha ha is what I was talking about. That is the unmistakable sound of a deuce.
Ha . . . . my uncle had a couple of those way back in the day.
Years back there was one about a used wedding dress a guy was selling. Hilarious!
Ha! I found it! It was on ebay. I guess they left it up for comic relief.
That’s a real good one. Lotta good laughs in it
Nah, some very wise individual snagged it and saved it for posterity--the link you posted is from the U of Minnesota. 'Tis fortunate for us that they did save it, though.
Our unit got turned into a gun truck convoy security company in Iraq in 2003-2004. I was in the maintenance section, but always volunteered to go on missions, loved riding the Ma Deuce in the back! These were 900 series 5 tons, not 2.5 ton trucks though...I'd hate to have been a bunch of old school deuces doing that stuff!
We saw this re-purposed 5 ton Deuce in Colorado. It’s actually in use by the owner for boondocking during hunting season.
Never drove one on the road, but I spent a lot of time being transported in the back of those sorry things. Owning one of those is somewhere around 7,423,657,021 on my list.
