Greetings All!
New to OKShooters, and new to the state of Oklahoma (sort of...)
Originally a Georgia boy, but the Air Force took me away for 20 of those 22 years of my life. I did spend 3 years in Altus doing instructor duty a number of years ago, where I met my wife of almost 10 years. Last assignment was "back home" in Georgia where I got to do flight test stuff and help with the aging parents. After my Dad died, there was no more of my family in Georgia, so it was time to head west...and off to OKC we go. Wife's family is from "all over" Oklahoma, but we are settling in the NW OKC area while we build out in the Choctaw area.
I am very much looking forward to living in Oklahoma. Don't get me wrong...there is a lot to love about Georgia (ESPECIALLY THE GUN LAWS!!! Thank You Georgia Carry dot Org!!!) but there is a lot to hate too (like all the damn Yankees that have moved there over the last 20+ years and of course the traffic) and I am happy to call Oklahoma home now.
Once we get settled, will get the paperwork going on the SDA license (man...that wait is going to SUCK! I haven't "not carried" in over 12 years!!!) and perhaps get into some competitive shooting. And of course, spending some time here @ OKShooters getting the lay of the land.
