Trying to figure out what to get the Mrs for Christmas and the thought crossed my mind to get her a little knife. I’ve bought her a few in the past that always seem to make their way to some knife black hole that exists in my wife’s purse. After some poking around on eBay I came across this Girl Scout knife from the early 60s. It was in pretty rough shape, rougher than the pictures showed but after some attention I believe I have it in presentable condition (and she am sharp). I know it’s not the best of knives but it certainly has a novelty.

This here one was made by Kutmaster Utica, NY.
So long as the black hole does not strike, and you keep it from rusting, that's a great all purpose design as militaries for over 100yrs have confirmed....hope she finds the extra weight unobjectionable...if she does, get her a Victorinox Pioneer next year, they are 2.4oz., same tools, and you off rust prevention duty. Cool old knife and thanks for showing.

That is a really nice Knife. I bet she will enjoy, especially if she has a GS connection.

I remember them having a fork and spoon also.

My Mom was a Girl Scout Leader, Back in the day. I learned a lot of Camping and Cooking skills from being taken along. Looked Under plenty of Tents too. Learned how to unsnap a Bra in Girl Scouts.
I look back now and see what a privilege it was to get to go camping with 20 or so 12-14 year old girls, while I was around 10 years old.

Man the Mammaries, I mean Memories, Know the Mammaries. dang it may have led me to live a confused life.

His wife is now gonna tell him about how when she was in the girl scouts, the leader's little boy was always peeking under their tent.

Just recalling, In the past I have purchased those little swiss knives for my wife and daughter that fit on a keychain. Have a blade, file, scissors, and a plastic toothpick. Last Keychain knives I got for stocking stuffers were Kershaw single lock blade about two inch long. They are super sharp like a razor.
