1st. Print out a map of the Strip and Fremont(downtown) from Yahoo or Google maps. List the casinos you want to see one day and others the next. You need to have an itinerary, time will fly by and you'll be scratching your head,,,what happened??
2nd. Valet....yes I said valet your car at the casinos. Look at your map and pick a casino...Example: Paris. Valet the car at Paris...let them park it and tip a buck when you pick it up. From Paris you can tour Paris, Bellagio, Planet Hollywood(PH) and a few others. Pick up the car, drive to Mandalay Bay...valet it(sometimes they only let people who stay valet, but try it) See the South end of the Strip...Mandalay Bay, Luxor.....ALSO, across the street(to the East) from MB...there is the Las Vegas sign...Welcome to LV...take your picture there. Valet at Mirage and see Caesars, Venetian and others.
For $10.00 in $1.00 bills. for each valet, it's cheaper than a taxi.
Forgot... Todai is in Planet Hollywood.
Becareful driving the Strip...there are lots of tourist walking the sidewalks...so when you pull into the casino....be careful...the long line won't let you in...sometimes they do....you'll see.
Lived in Vegas for two years and faced the same problem you do - I don't gamble so what to do?
- Red Rock Canyon on the West Side of Town great hiking and easy access for vehicles
- Verrazano's Pizzeria on the West side in a small strip mall great NY style authentic pizza and "working man" Italian food
- want to ski? Try a drive up to Mt Charleston just west of Vegas it has snow most of the year and good hiking the rest of the time
- want to see a world class self defense training facility? Drive an hour toward Pahrump and visit Front Sight's Training facility ( btw if you like what you see I can sell you a Defensive Handgun class voucher much cheaper than they'll offer)
I've tried not to overload you on a two day trip. Soak it in, on your map write down the casinos you liked, the ones you didn't and the ones you missed. You'll go back...yes you will. First few times, again, soak it in. Later on you'll narrow it down and fine tune it. By the way, every casino you go to get a $1.00 chip. I've tried to collect a chip from every casino. I've got a few collectibles especially grom the casinos that were tore down. Later on, you can buy a wooden frame made to display your chips.
See what you want to see, have a game plan, wear comfy clothes and shoes.
Later on as you go out more and more, we'll talk steakhouses and the best odds for gambling.
Take lots of pictures, drive carefully on the strip...other people are sigjtseeing also...last year at 6:45am on the Strip, a drunk ran ...or tried to run across the Strip to another casino. He didn't use the skywalks or the intersection. Yep, he slipped and slid under a delivery truck....his head went...splat..just like a watermelon under a tire.
Have fun!!!
P.S.
Remember....prostitution is illegal in Clark County!!!!
Last one, I promise I just read an email from a relative that lives in Vegas. Caesars just built the #1 biggest and best selection buffet in Vegas. Bacchanal buffet, better and bigger than Belaggio Paris, and Rio buffet. $20 for breakfast, $25 for lunch, and $32 for dinner.
Little tip on buffets....call the casino or find out(website) when lunch ends and dinner begins. Go about an hour....long line give yourself time...before dinner begins. Pay for lunch, eat dinner...which is better in selection.
Just quick suggestions, as im walking out the door, pardon my spelling im in a hurry.

Battista's Hole in the Wall-Great Italian food in a mom and pop atmosphere. Within walking distance of the strip. http://www.battistaslasvegas.com
Hugo's cellar-Great steak on freemont street. Expensive, but they have a great wine list and there steaks are superb. http://www.hugoscellar.com
Go watch the high roller craps tables at Caesar's palace, or the Bellagio. I watched a guy lose $60-80k in the matter of an hour and a half. Very entertaining, but just keep your mouth shut!
We enjoy the breakfast at the Golden Nugget.
Just a few standards that we do when we are out there. Also, even if you aren't into gambling, if you go to the casinos on freemont during the day, they offer craps lessons. I'm not a big gambler, but craps is a fun time.
