The guys in our shop that drive in from Jones wellston and chandler reported that they didn't see the usual amount of deer. I would have thought they would be moving this morning.
I had a small buck on camera at 5:15 and that was it for last night.

I got some pictures last night and this morning but mostly coons. The deer movement was minimal.
I hunted all day yesterday, having taken off when the front was supposed to hit yesterday morning, per amazing weather predictions. I hunted the morning and saw nothing. I then waited until 5:30 when the front finally started to push in. I was aggravated as I wanted to be in stand by 4, but the wind hadn't switched. I was pouring sweat in stand then the front hit and the roller-coaster ride began. Didn't seen anything moving, even squirrels. I walked to my truck without turning on my flashlight and as I came around a tree, I was 5 feet away from a doe. We both messed our pants a touch and parted ways.
I'm back at the leaning tower of death by Woodward. Just had
the first 2 show up. Looks promising!

The deer hunting is poor, poor, poor in my woods. Did I say POOR. We have a bumper crop of all kinds of acorn. A deer doesn't have to move but a few feet to get his belly full. Fear not fellow hunters IT WILL GET BETTER.
