I noticed that about acorns, too. Every white oak I looked at in the last 2 months has been barren. Red oaks started dropping a month ago and are practically for now. A couple of weeks and some rain and they'll be gone.

It's better than last year where they dropped from October through almost December.

I had 5 doe on my green field when I drove over to fill a feeder this evening. That's the most productive evening I've had.

Movement was heavy at my camera sites starting about 5:30-6:00 this evening but shut down just before dark, and the temps are dropping rapidly on the river.

Started out good with 2 does at 5pm. Ended up only seeing 2 more does and 2 spikes at 7:10

I saw one very similar to that 5 years ago when at a check station. I was jealous then and I'm jealous now.
