Great Movie: The Substance

Wife and I saw this last night. Demi Moore, Dennis Quaid. Fading star wants to regain youth, has some success but it comes with a few drawbacks. Not for the kiddies, but a fantastic tale. (first time I've been to the movies since I took Dad to see 1917)

If you want to watch a wild flick with no politics, this might be for you.

Can't afford to on my minimum wage job. He offered to blow the guy selling tickets to get us in , but when he saw the dude wasn't circumcised he balked.

Before the stripper movie there was "About Last Night." Demi did show off a lot. I remember that movie from a date. The girl I took wanted to see it and said "I really want to see 'About Last Night.' it was a first date, I wanted to see some horror movie and suggested something else, she insisted. After the movie we walked back to the car, I asked her if she had liked the movie and she remained quite. When we got to the car I opened her door and she got in without saying a word. When I got into the car she turned to me and slapped me then said "you shouldn't have taken me to a porno, take me home!" I didn't say a word, started the car and took her right home. I didn't want to go to that movie to begin with. Worst date ever.

I rented that movie a few times as a HS kid. I was a real sucker for romantic comedies back then.
