Is that in § 1289 or § 1290?
I see the misdemeanor for elementary school concealed pistol carry in § 1290 but I haven't dug around further.
TITLE 21 § 1280.1 POSSESSION OF FIREARM ON SCHOOL PROPERTY
C. Firearms and weapons are allowed on school property and deemed not in violation of subsection A of this section as follows:
3. Weapons in the possession of any peace officer or other person authorized by law to possess a weapon in the performance of their duties and responsibilities.
D. Any person violating the provisions of this section shall, upon conviction, be guilty of a felony. The fine for a violation of this section shall not exceed Five Thousand Dollars ($5,000.00). Any person convicted of violating the provisions of this section after having been issued a concealed handgun license pursuant to the provisions of the Oklahoma Self-Defense Act shall have the license permanently revoked and shall be liable for an administrative fine of One Hundred Dollars ($100.00) upon a hearing and determination by the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation that the person is in violation of the provisions of this section.
I worked with this guy too. He started to shoot at a moving vehicle who drove through a gate at a federal facility here in the city. He was stopped after he drew his weapon and started to crank a round off at the car.
We all worked as armed security at the FAA. OkTribalCop does both security and tribal police. The guy in the story stopped doing security probably around 2008ish. I doubt he kept his CE up and renewed his CLEET license. When he left our job, he went to a different line of work. If he did keep it, I still don't think it would help for 1280.1 C:3.So what would happen to this guy, given he's a fit for § 1280.1 C:3 ?

So true - does it really make people feel better to jump all over a guy who makes a stupid mistake? No malice was involved here. The only reason its an issue is the general public fear of anything that looks like a gun.
He didn't make a mistake, he made a series of concious decisions that aren't consistent with the mantra we all like to chant to ourselves...that most gun owners are conscientious and law abiding.
1)He left a gun in his pocket when he left his home, without a valid permit to carry.
2)He drove to a school
3)He went into a school
4)He carried in such a fashion that his gun was able to fall out of his pocket onto a chair.
The reason this is an issue is because one individual acted irresponsibly. He deserves every lump that's coming....including those from his peers. We have to be our own harshest critics.
